State of the Belize coast

Welcome to the State of the Belize coast survey

We would like to know about your perception in regards to the State of the Coastal Zone in Belize.

The Coastal Zone in Belize covers an area from the shoreline’s high tide up to 3 Km inland and includes the emergent part of the beach, bays, coastal lagoons, as well as mangrove forest and other vegetation.

The elaboration of this report considers the participation of local experts in two ways: by providing information related with their perceptions about the most critical pressures, the current status of the coastal zone and management of the coastal zone. The second form of local expert participation is by providing feedback on the report that will be elaborated.

Would you mind answering a few questions about your understanding of the state of the coast?  This survey should require about 15 minutes of your time. This survey is voluntary, anonymous, and completely confidential.  Please answer all of the questions.  Please answer only for yourself, even if you are a member of a working group or an institution.

Thank you very much for your participation!
